# Unregister External Data Volumes

  [Remote data planes](/cloud/platform-capabilities/core-concepts/zones/domino-nexus) are needed to use EDVs in Domino Cloud.
</Note>

1. From the Admin application, go to **Manage resources** > **External Data Volumes**.

2. Go to the end of the row for the EDV entry and click the vertical three dots.

3. Click **Unregister**.

4. Click **Yes** to confirm that you want to unregister the volume.
