# Archive a Data Plane

Archiving a data plane effectively deletes it.

<Warning>
  Once archived, a data plane cannot be un-archived.
</Warning>

To archive a data plane

1. [Stop all executions](/cloud/platform-capabilities/core-concepts/workspaces/manage-workspaces) in the data plane.

2. [Delete all workspaces](/cloud/platform-capabilities/core-concepts/workspaces/manage-workspaces) in the data plane.

3. [Archive all hardware tiers](/cloud/admin/infrastructure-and-compute/manage-compute-resources/hardware-tiers/archive-hardware-tier) in the data plane.

4. Go to **Manage resources** > **Data Planes**.

5. Next to the data plane you want to archive, click the three-dot menu and select **Archive**.

6. Click **Archive Data Plane**.

7. Use Helm to delete the `data-plane` release in the data plane namespace in the data plane Kubernetes cluster.
