From your project’s Deploy > Apps & Agents page, select Create, then choose an entry point. App in Workspace opens a workspace; Domino creates its Draft App when you start the first preview. Create from file creates a published App and its first version. Neither path deploys the App automatically.

App in Workspace

Labeled App in Workspace. Domino starts a workspace where you build the App with the Draft App, preview, and publish workflow. Use this for new Apps.

Create from file

Initializes the App from an existing file in your project and goes straight to the publish workflow, creating the App with an immutable first version.
The workspace workflow isn’t limited to workspaces Domino starts for you. Any workspace in the Workspaces section works the same way, so you can start previewing from a workspace you already have open. Develop and test an App covers that workflow.

Creating an App doesn’t make it reachable

Creation, publication, and deployment are separate steps. After you create an App and publish a version, you still have to deploy that version before anyone can open it. Continue with Publish and deploy App versions.
In earlier releases, Publish App was the only way to create an App, and publishing also deployed it. Create replaces that entry point, and publishing and deploying are now separate steps. If your administrator disables the EnableAppsSDLC feature flag, which is on by default, the legacy Publish flow is unchanged.
