Domino Versions: Naming Conventions and Version Types
Domino’s product versions follow a common Semantic Version (SemVer) numbering scheme, Ma.Mi.Pa, where:- Ma (Major version) - Contains new features, fixes, potential platform/technology changes, and may include breaking changes or interface updates that are not backward compatible
- Mi (Minor version) - Contains new features, fixes, and potential platform/technology support
- Pa (Patch version) - Contains only security updates and critical bug fixes
- Example: Version 6.0.2 is on the 6.x major release line, and 6.0.2 is the latest patch for the 6.0 minor version.
