Favorite Apps is the list of Apps in the Work mode sidebar, which keeps the Apps you use most one click away. The list is personal: each user keeps their own set and order, and adding or removing a favorite doesn’t change the App or anyone else’s access to it.

Add an App to your favorites

On an App’s card in Work mode, select Add to sidebar (the plus icon). The App joins the end of your Favorite Apps list. To take it off, select Remove from sidebar (the minus icon) on the same card. Add to sidebar appears only on Apps you have access to. For any other App, select Request access on its card first, then add it once the App’s owner accepts.

Open a favorite App

Select an App in the list to open it inside Work mode. Each row shows the App’s icon, or the default App icon if the App has none. A favorite whose details Domino can’t load doesn’t appear in the list. A dimmed row doesn’t open. Hover over it to see why: To find a favorite in a long list, type part of its name in Filter Apps at the top of the list. The filter ignores case, and it clears when you collapse the sidebar or start customizing it. With no favorites, the sidebar shows Browse Apps, which opens the list of every App you can find in Work mode.

Reorder or remove favorites

1

Start customizing

Select Customize at the bottom of the sidebar. While you customize, the filter is hidden and selecting a row doesn’t open the App.
2

Reorder your favorites

Drag a row to a new position.
3

Remove a favorite

Select the minus icon (Remove) on its row. Removing a favorite doesn’t stop or delete the App.
4

Finish

Select Done.
Domino saves each change as you make it. If a save fails, Domino shows an error and restores your last saved list.

Collapse the sidebar

Select Collapse sidebar (the chevron) at the bottom of the sidebar, or press Cmd+B (macOS) or Ctrl+B (Windows and Linux), to shrink the sidebar to App icons. Hover over an icon to see the App’s name, or, for a dimmed icon, why it doesn’t open. Collapsing the sidebar with the keyboard shortcut also ends customizing.
