The Domino NetApp Volumes API gives you programmatic access to Domino Volumes for NetApp ONTAP. It is served at /remotefs/v1. Its endpoints are documented in the Domino Platform API reference, under the NetApp Volumes, NetApp Volumes snapshots, NetApp Volumes filesystems, and NetApp Volumes transfers groups.

File operations

File operations under /remotefs/v1/volumes/{id}/files/* and /remotefs/v1/snapshots/{id}/files/* require the /webvfs prefix. The reference pages show the paths without it, because those are the paths the file service itself receives when you call it directly from inside the cluster.

Outside a Domino execution

Call the endpoint on your Domino host with /webvfs in front of the path shown on the reference page. For example, list files in a Volume at:

For file operations, call http://data-webvfs-service.domino-compute:80 and omit the /webvfs prefix (use the path exactly as shown on the reference page):
This host is also used for file operations on remote Datasets.
DOMINO_REMOTE_FILE_SYSTEM_HOSTPORT is for Volume operations (Volume and filesystem CRUD, transfers), not file operations. Use it for the other /remotefs/v1/* endpoints, and use http://data-webvfs-service.domino-compute:80 for anything under /files/*.
